A random Serpent doodle. I had fun with this even though I didn't really have a character in mind. If you've seen my Shenttan drawings you can see the similarities right away although this one has smaller horns and an even narrower face. It was fun to do 😁🐍

And to finish off this little segment here's Shenttan's Serpent form (his face at least) as I settled on it. I think there's enough of that sleekness I need in the design and enough of him in the mix too! 😀 I'm happy with this one and it's the version I've used in my book!

So based off yesterday's post I decided to do a more 'colour' version of Shenttan. He probably wouldn't wear the green top (though the ribbons would be green) but I really needed some contrast. So here he is, pale skin and hair, horns and sapphire eyes and of course wearing all his jewellery! 😉 Handsome boy! haha ❤️🐍

A quick 'colour pallet' drawing for Shenttan. As his hair is silver white and so is his skin + he wears white... welp... kinda amounts to this. Obviously the horns would have some colour (probably deep grey-black) but I didn't get round to doing those. At least you can see he likes his jewlery! 😂🐍❤️💍

This was the frist form I drew for Shenttan after knowing what he looked like in his 'humanoid' form. You can see the same horns, hair and jewlery. However I felt something was wrong. It lacked the sleekness of the origional design and he definately needed that.
In the second drawing you can see my revised drawing. I prefered this way, WAY more!
You can also see a quick doodle I did to figure out how long his hair is and it is LONG!

I'm so happy with this drawing, even though I drew it years ago! This is one of the main characters in my CB book(s) even though he's more of a presence than a character the things he does sets off the whole chain of events which leads to the story itself.

An introduction to a Race in my books: the Serpents. This was a very early design I had for them (swipe to see both the pencil drawings and a colour version). I absolutely love them so much! ❤️🐍 Their design has changed over time e.g. losnig the 'fins' and the 'tentacle' things but keeping the long neck/body, the elongated face, markings around their eyes (some of them) and the mane of hair.

Map time!
The first map is a quick computer drawn version of the map I originally did for my C-B series. I was in my teens at the time, hadn't really thought the world out and just needed a placeholder. It shows but it didn't really matter.
The second and third images are the map I used for a long time (full image up on my Tumblr soon). Also somewhat of a placeholder but something I put a bit more effort in to (at least in terms of working out where things were in relation to one another, not the shape of the land itself). Bonus points to anyone who recognises what I did to get the outline 😛
I’ve finally made a proper map for it, one that fits the world overall and makes a lot more sense but I’m sharing these to show how sometimes you just need a little placeholder not a full work of art.

Time to break up the costume parade with another character. This is rather lose (face shape etc.) but I wanted to get the basic idea for the colour pallet of this character and it works! I'm happy with this one. (Although I promise to draw him much, much better soon!). All I'll say is he's the main antagonist thus far! 😈😂
