Week 17: No writing this week, recovering from fee Week 17: No writing this week, recovering from feeling quite ill and tired. It was nice to take a little bit of time off but I'm looking forward to getting back into writing again. Belated weekly wordcount updates for weeks 14, 15 Belated weekly wordcount updates for weeks 14, 15 and 16! As I was very ill my wordcount was... (drum roll) nothing! Yeah that's just how ill I was. I wrote abosolutely nothing! Which considering writing is my oxygen should tell you how I was feeling. πŸ˜” So that was naff! On the plus side I got to read a lot of books I'd not had time this year (including a lot of Asterix BDs which I love!) and listen to and go through a lot of music (it's nice to have a clear out sometimes).😊 I'm starting to look at what to do next but I'm trying not to panic about 'time wasted' being ill and then overwork to compensate (I'm really trying to learn not to do that this year, I'd love to avoid burnouts!). It's hard thought. Still, with luck I'm back. A belated update for week 13: I wrote 8,319 words, A belated update for week 13: I wrote 8,319 words, not bad but not as good as some weeks. I was feeling very tired and not in the right frame of mind, turns out I was about to be ill, hence not updating and not writing over the last few weeks. As of today I'm recovering (I hope) and starting to look at what I need to do. More on that later. I hope you're all feeling well. Being ill can be a real bummer. Week 12: A bit of a strange week what with feeling Week 12: A bit of a strange week what with feeling exhausted, ill and having some doctor's appointments. However, despite this there were good bits: 1- I still managed to write πŸ‘πŸ˜Έ Something is still better than nothing so that's good 2- I've been playing with my new tablet and recording software and I think I'm getting the hang of it so hopefully I'll be sharing videos soon 3- I got to do some modelling (miniatures) which was a lot of fun So not a bad week all in all 🐱 How was your week? Week 9: This was a bit of an odd week. I'd had pla Week 9: This was a bit of an odd week. I'd had plans to start on an art course but I was distracted, my mind was still in writting-mode so I ended up switching back to writing. Then Dagger got ill so I was looking after him. I still managed to get stuff done and Dagger got better 😸 but it was a draining week 😿 Week 10: I was honestly very tired from last week so I kind of picked at tasks. I got some writing done, some reading and some worldbuilding. Week 8: I took a break from writing to do some rea Week 8: I took a break from writing to do some reading (both for my own enjoyment and for research), I wrote up lots of notes for my main book series as well but I wasn't wordcounting those as they're all over the place! Week 6: This was a holiday week! It was our annive Week 6: This was a holiday week! It was our anniversary so I took a break from writing and work! It also snowed! It was beautiful! On our anniversary it was snowy and sunny so we took the time to go for a walk and enjoyed ourselves. The snow messed up some of our plans but honestly that was a small price to pay to have beautiful blue skies and snow! Week 4 From last week's test I knew I could easily Week 4 From last week's test I knew I could easily write 6,000+ words on a good day but sometimes I have bad days or I'm tired and so settings my top end wordcount as my base line goal would be a bad idea. i settled at 3,000 words because I can normally hit that easily enough, even on a bad day! It's got be be a catastrophic day before I can't manage that! And if it's that bad a day then I'm not going to beat myself up! It was a good week. So I'm going to be sharing my weekly wordcounts th So I'm going to be sharing my weekly wordcounts this year as a way of sharing progress and motivating myself. Week 1 & 2: I used this time to figure out what I wanted to do this year, plan and get into the rhythm of things more generally. Week 3: I wrote as much as I felt like when I felt like it, but I also kept track of how much I'd written every day and how I was feeling. I often write loads and then burn myself out so I wanted to try and find a comfortable middle ground/goal I could aim for writing-wise. These upcoming drawings were done for short stories or for my books (not the upcoming podcast), so they're old and might not be canon anymore but they're fun to look at!
